Jawaher stresses importance of FDC’s award for scientific research

SHARJAH: Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the  Supreme Council for Family Affairs, SCFA, and wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, praised the Research and Studies Award in Family Development Centres (FDC) and its role in promoting and developing scientific research and encouraging the youth to be more creative in various fields.

In an exclusive statement to “Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB)”, Sheikha Jawaher Al Qasimi said, “The Research and Studies Award organised by the Department of FDC is part of Sharjah’s orientations in activating scientific research as a humanitarian effort that reads the social issues’ details”.

She pointed to the importance of the award in drawing the attention of the new generations of researchers to research, and its role in promoting knowledge.

Sheikha Jawaher stressed that the advantages of this Award offers an opportunity for young researchers to participate. In addition to the category of academicians, students and researchers were also encouraged to participate in this important scientific experiment.

Family Development Centres (FDC) in Sharjah have announced that they will continue to receive applications for the 2017 Research and Studies Award under the theme “Culture of Charitable Work” for the categories of academics, researchers, and various members of the community within its various fields. People will be able to participate until the 1st of October.

The dates for the Award include, receiving applications, which has begun since February 1, Jury members’ evaluation, which is scheduled for October, and the winners will be accredited in November and awarded in December.
